Steel brakes/ windshield repair
Good afternoon,
I took my 2018 E63s in to get 20k mile service/ new tires and a windshield because unfortunately a rock hit the glass on the way to the shop.
when they were looking at my brakes my pads were low and they told me I had to change out rotors too per AMG policy. I called BS because i have a GTR that I just replaced pads on, they found a chip in the rotor, and didn’t tell me I had to replace them. These are CCB on the GTR do it may be different . Is it safe to say that I only need pads or does steel require both?
For the windshield, I am going to go through Safelite because Mercedes is going to take 2 weeks to get windshield . However, Safelite only carries windshields for the e43. Would these still be the same or is it worth going to Mercedes, waiting and paying more?
