Digging into the owner's manuals I have on hand, I see there is a difference in this section of the manual for 2018 vs 2019 (see attached, 2020 manual is the same as 2019). MY 2018 owner's manual, showing both sets of buttons. MY 2019 owner's manual, showing only the rear cargo area buttons.
Did they eliminate these buttons starting in MY 2019? Anybody investigated installing them?

Maybe is a CAN/US thing? The MBUSA configurator shows a shiny small silver splotch in the configurator 3D interior image. The shiny splotch appears to be the button - the image resolution is insufficient to identify for certain.
I'm indeed missing same buttons. Had them in my 2019 e450.
I noticed the seat belt plug slot too. What is that really for, just securing the buckle? The belt itself it twisted one way or another to get it to slot in there.
Not only did the button disappear for the back seats. I noticed today in the center console the strap that I used to put a little tissue box in on my 18 wagon is now gone on 20 wagon. Wonder if that was removed on the 19 model as well.
My 2020 has no button. If the tissue strap is gone I will pursue lemon law.
Does anyone know what the four little hook/cutouts are on the ceiling (two just behind each pair of headrests)? Are they for a dog cage divider? I’ll grab a pic later today.

Definitely a small world. Take care of my former wagon & enjoy her. I hope they put new brakes and tires on the wagon, it was due for them when dealer purchased car back.

Yes they did in fact install new tires and brakes. I will definitely take care of it as well. Your new one is just as amazing, and pretty much a twin to your former...LOL..
