Guys driving like A holes on public roads across country is nothing to glorify instead they should be arrested and charged..

I would typically agree with your views, especially in the case of really fast speeds on public roads, but I don't agree in this case.
1.) These guys are not boy racers, who in the fart-can exhausts are far more dangerous than experienced drivers like these two
2.) Almost all of this driving was on highways, where cars are meant to... go fast
3.) Driving in German, Italy or so many other places makes you realize that it is possible to "safely" drive 100+mph, though in the US it is less so given all the idiots that park in the left lane.
I for one think it sucks that the US does not have higher-speed highways, esp given how far apart cities are.
Great story IMO, and kudos to MB AMG and AMS tuners. That was a sweet set-up.
I was taught to drive according to the conditions (road, weather, traffic, your own physical and mental status at a time) and I do support good drivers driving safe much above posted speed limits.
LOL, probably I would vote for the president who will remove speed limit signs and enforce proper driving education for teens.
I’ll just go ahead assume you obey all traffic laws and posted speed limits when carving up the canyons that you post about regularly...
I don't put others in danger when I drive for enjoyment at what ever speed I drive.
I don't speed on the highways or do I cut in and out of traffic because I'm not racing the clock for my ego..

Still a strawman, you’re posting pictures of accidents with zero context to prove a hypothetical that literally did not happen in this very scenario. There was no accident during this Gumball, which was specifically designed to avoid as much road traffic as possible. Ronin, you cant move the goal posts around so much after all the touting of your escapades in the canyons. At the very least, I imagine we could interview all sorts of cyclists you have passed who would have yet another take on what is considered safe driving on public roads.
This is a small team of guys, one of which is a dedicated spotter. I can’t say on which side your idea of fun falls relative to them...but to any casual motorist you (and many of us) are all in the same boat.

Feel free to interview these guys after a spirted downhill run together before we grouped together for a photo op to show we can all share the road together without putting each other in danger...
A spotter looking out for highway patrol is not going to prevent a high speed accident with deer or others on the road..
These guys did not have addition high power lighting on the Mercedes in order to see far enough down the road at the speeds they were traveling. It's easy to out drive the stock headlights...
They were lucky to have survived their stupidity without incident. But kept cheering for this arrogance and total disregard for others on the road.
This is not speeding it is pure racing against the clock on public roads....

Funny how they said the thermal vision system was not reliable in their video. I've used both thermal and night vision on high speed boats on Lake Mead and can say without reservation I would never rely on it at 130 mph of at any legal speed on a public road...
"Racing is against the clock or an opponent" it is not driving quickly by yourself up a almost empty canyon road never crossing the centerline...
