AMG GTC Roadster, E63s Ed.1, M8 Comp. Coupe
Average miles I have seen is between 10-20k for ED1.
Regarding the original discussion, KBB for edition 1 with low miles is 80k, edmunds suggested 82-87k based on condition. That looks like a steep depreciation for limited edition cars!
So Is an edition 1 worth extra money, or is it better to get a well specked E63s maybe selenite grey magno?

Frankly I don't get your question.
Pick the car, features and options (and mileage) you want, then look for the best deal.
There are plenty of cheaper, low optioned E63s out there for less money. AMG's have high depreciation in general and any well optioned car has higher depreciation than a bare bone car since expensive options loose most of their value on resale.
Do Ed1 cars have a higher depreciation than similarly priced E63s of same age/mileage ($136k)? I don't think so.
Personally (subjective opinion of course) I think it's the coolest looking E63s made, followed by Selenite Gray Magno. The options it has are more relevant to me (CCB's, forged wheels, interior CF, Performance seats) than some exterior CF or Burmester 3D.
The one thing I strongly recommend on any Magno paint car is not to buy it remotely. You have to inspect the paint in person. This is not paint you can touch up or buff out so you want to make sure it's in the condition that you can accept.

2018 E63S AMG
I touched up a small chip in the hood ~(0.7 mm x 1.5 mm) with standard Selenite Grey touch-up paint from Mercedes.
Was down to the metal of the hood and very visible, but now I can’t find it without looking really hard.
But a significant bit of damage would require a full panel respray.
i had some minor damage on the driver side front fender during European deliver. Fixed at the VPC. I looked and looked and could never figure out whether they replaced the front fender or repaired and repainted. They did a great job.

Couple things to know. Warranty can't be extended from a private/3rd party sale (like Porsche), so you may have to get a 3rd party warranty. If important, that is...
Or get one from a MB dealer. Even non-CPO cars can easily be CPO'd if nothing in the history prohibits it.

Alternative would be to get a matte protection film applied. Even end up with a matte red or blue car if you wanted, and never have to worry about matte maintenance.

FWIW I just got a fully loaded 2018 E63s (carbon ceramic brakes, both carbon fiber packages, acoustic package, performance seats, Burmeister plus, etc, etc) with 11k miles for $92k CPO

The OP mentioned a private listing for a Ed1 with 3k miles. Maybe PM him/her?
This is a car to be driven and it's over 2 years since intro. So very low mileage cars will be rare. We barely drove ours (at least I feel that way) and we have 16k miles on the clock. About 7k miles a year.
