2019 E63s
Too many overlapping models

The GT63s does not offer 80k more value and performance over the E63s. Slap a tune and a set of SC2’s to match the GT and you’ve got the same performance and I think a much nicer looking car. The GT is a good looking car from some angles and from others it’s just downright portly. Up here the market is still strong for the E’s but we are starting to see a pile of the 19 GT63’s in the secondary market resellers with ridiculously high numbers still in the 180k area. The value isn’t there and I suspect there will be some deals but not for a few months. If/when things get back to normal in a few months it won’t be turned on over night. My guess is end of April or end of May deals on the high value cars will be made. 20% is normal for a discount on remaining AMG’s at year end here. I just bought my 19 GTC coupe like that. Pretty soon there will be 10-15% off the 20’s is my prediction. But it won’t be for anything but cash purchasing. Just my 2cents. Be well and stay safe everyone.

Well a few have started with small deals. A friend had a SUV on order that came in right as everything shut down. They decided to wait a little bit with all the uncertainty, busy at work with extra hours, and not sure about actually going into the dealership to do the paperwork. This week the dealership called him and said they would defer any payments for 90 days with 1% interest for 36/mo and forget almost $800 of the first payment. I told them to go for 48/mo with the deal. All this on top of the already agreed to delivery price that he was good with. I’m waiting to see what they get.
It’s a start. Anyone else?

lol i know you are joking but, would it ever make sense to do this and then just flip the car in 36 months or would you be super dumb upside down?

i read this is what people do when they buy huracans and they lose *less* every month than we do buying/leasing $120k cars that depreciate to $60k in 3 years because hurcans don't really depreciate (performantes at least)

At 0% interest it's just free money. If I want to get rid of it before the last payment, I would just pay off the remaining balance and free to do whatever with it. For me, car is just fun tool to drive to work and other places. I don't mind keeping it til it breaks as long as engine/transmission are reliable. My 2014 E63 was built 10/2013 and I intend to keep it til it doesn't work anymore.

i'm about the exact opposite. i have no problem lighting $1.8k-$2.0k/mo on fire on a car every month but i want the latest and greatest and i very much want it to not explode under my ownership because getting caught holding a $20k-$40k-$60k-$80k repair bill over one of these trannies/engines sounds like a nightmare

Here in Mass there are no deals. The dealers are not "essential" and are simply closed.
Service is open but not sales.

LOL--- Subvented APR's on extended terms with higher end AMG's are rare to null.

If anyone knows of a good deal for a E63s Wagon w/Carbon Ceramics please post.
Either a 2020 new/demo for low 100's
or a 2018/19 in the 80's would be reasonable

Agree- the Estates are already in lower production. A dealer doesnt need to ***** one out new or used.

2018 E63 Wagon
FWIW, I've been lurking on the pre-owned sites for the past six months tracking the market for used wagons. The last few weeks have definitely seen an increased rate of softening in the prices (even wagons). Nearly all the vehicles in my watch lists have been reduced multiple times with few actually selling.

It will be interesting to see how prices react once things open up again. With manufacturer's new production currently halted it may have a supply/demand effect on the pre-owned market that is unexpected. Out of balance markets tend to be short lived before they equalize themselves. I'm still not comfortable buying into this window even though I may look back in 3 months and regret my reluctance to pull the trigger myself.
