I noticed that the clear coat on my front passenger side brake caliper had peeled off. I took it in to my local dealer and they declined to warranty it. They said it was due to outside influence. Have any of you had this issue?

I'm considering re-painting the brake calipers at this point.

My 2 fronts calipers had this issue. Had to argue a little but they change the 2 calipers under warranty !

I've seen other AMG owners on the forum that have had luck as well. Looks like I need to go back to the dealer.

Hmmm, this is my first car with painted calipers... do any of you know if wheel cleaner has anything to do with this? I know there are many types of cleaners... and I often just try to use car soap and hand mit to stay safe... thanks.

I had mine ceramic coated. Cleaning is just water and car wash soap. I never wash them hot.
