U.S. MB website updated...
I just noticed (I've been checking daily of late) that the U.S. MB website has been updated. The E63S has been moved off the 'Future Vehicles' tab and into the 'Sedans and Wagons' area. The configurator isn't up yet, but it can't be long now. I admit to being stupidly excited to play with it, especially considering that I've already ordered the car.

There are some missing bits and pieces in the E63S configurator, too, as well as the erroneous presence of the Macchiato Beige Dinamica Headliner. I checked with my sales guy and it’s definitely not available in the US, unfortunately.

I think the configurator is not in sync with the dealers build sheets. I wanted both exterior carbon fiber packages and the dealer only gets package 2 in his system. Hopefully they get it sorted out soon. Still nice to play around with.

There are two packages. The second one is for carbon fiber mirror shells. I have both on my to be built wagon.

Unfortunately, no amount of sorting will result in a Macchiato headliner, burl walnut trim, or an IWC analogue dash clock - all items for which I'd gladly pay whatever if they were available. Alas.

You can always use the Custom Manufacture process. You can have non-standard options installed for the interior for a significant cost. Your call.

Yep, I looked at that, but decided that it’s not worth the delay, at least this time around. Perhaps in a more normal year when we’d be talking about delaying an October delivery into January vs. this hellish year when we’d be delaying a January delivery into, at best, April.

No, it’s unfortunately not with MBFS. To my regret, I went with a couple of other brands for my daily driver since my CLS550 lease ended almost four years ago. I won’t make that mistake again!

I just saw a video of the 21 E63S sedan and apparently they removed the ability to move the passenger’s seat from the driver’s seat controls. There was only the heated and cooled seat control, but the 3rd button was missing. I like to call that the “**** my wife off” control.
