Getting AAWireless to work on 2018 W213 E63 S
Like many of you, I was bummed to see that Android Auto was not supported wirelessly on my 2018 E63, so I set out to find an aftermarket solution. This dongle worked for me: http://aawireless.info/
They can be difficult to get - I got gouged buying mine on eBay. Installation was fast and it works great. Slight delay on startup that you won't find with head units that natively support Android Auto wirelessly, but I've found that it works more reliably than the cable.
To get it to work on your W213, you need to install the AAWireless app on your phone, click "Settings...", click "USB Mode...", then click "Direct."
Bingo bongo - no more plugging in your phone to the car.
