I ordered my 2022 AMG E53 cabriolet On July 31, 2021and originally given the date of February 2022. I spoke to my salesman today he told me that the date was changed and I’m looking at something closer to April or May.
Does anybody know if Mercedes Benz is going to produce anymore AMGC 63S Cabriolet.. I was told by someone at Benz that they were not going to I’m just checking to see if that’s true.

Rumor has it that the C coupe and Cabriolet or going to be discontinued and will be replaced by a new model CLE. When is your scheduled production date on your E53?

Even though my car moved to production status a month ago, it seems like it was still held up for whatever reason. Finally got a VIN today though, so some progress. There’s still delays of some sort post production, don’t think any 2022s have arrived from Germany yet, sitting in port waiting for some reason. Only 2022s I’ve seen are SUVs from the US.

Also got Canadian price changes on the 2022 E53 cabriolet, base price moved up $800. Acceptable.

Any Canadians with any more info?

After nearly 2 months in production my car crossed the line and hit B7 status today. Looking better for a December delivery.

Congrats! Mine goes into production mid November. I don't anticipate it getting here before end of December but we will see!

FYI, I got mine couple weeks ago - hope yours arrived too! So that took exactly 6 month since I ordered.

Gonna go to a wrap shop see what they can do about the side markers, its such a stupid rule in north America, like having those orange things actually does anything.

This might be a stupid question, but how do you check the status of your orders? I ordered an e53 last week for a Feb 2022 build and would like to see the status over time.

Mines been sitting in Halifax VPC since November 26th. The latest update is that it’s waiting on a service campaign, to be completed Jan 7th. So looking like late Jan for me, assuming no more delays.

Congrats on your delivery. How do you like it so far? Let’s see some pics!

Thanks! Red calipers are part of the AMG pack for the refresh.

edit - that’s for Canada. I don’t see it available in the US configurator.

Yeah unfortunately don't get the red calipers here in the States. Going all black exterior, black rims, red/ black interior. Not sure how the silver calipers are going to work, would love the red.

Anyways enjoy your 53!

I also have a US spec on the way! It’s silly that we can’t get red brake calipers!

It’s XPEL Stealth over obsidian black metallic. The result is very similar to factory night black magno. The silver trim was wrapped in gloss black vinyl.
