Feel lucky. I have to wait until at least August for delivery of my 2023 E63S wagon.

Lol I still don't know how you found this one in a sea of garbage dealer and custom builds. Between the two of us we probably talked to most US MB dealers over the course of a couple months.

Yes I’m pretty sure we talked to just about every dealer…I just got lucky. I actually called Akron about an advertised car that apparently bimmerconvert snatched an hour before I called. After delivering the bad news, the salesmen said “well hang on, I've got another one coming that the customer backed out on and it has CCB’s!” SOLD.

So what’s this about 2023? Please tell me you’re teasing me. I’m already having doubts about taking delivery of a 21 in 2022…but not sure I can wait any longer. This is insane.

I wondered about that 2023 as well.

You had an E63 built December 8? When was it ordered?

I have a non-AMG wagon ordered that was supposed to be built today. Wonder how long it will sit over there…

I had a deposit down well before it hit their website... if we're talking about the BBM car that was up on their site in September.

I called about the red one Akron had and upon realizing that it was the review mule for R&T/etc (with 8k! miles), I passed... but I told the sales guy to give a holler if anything new popped up on his radar... and the BBM one did. I flew to Akron on the way to NYC, took delivery and had her shipped out west.

I'll put some pics up one of these days--I had the PPF folks black all of the chrome out and paint the badges black (I had considered removing them, but didn't want to steal ocd's badgeless thunder). It's very pretty--and here in LA where everyone drives a neon-green Geländewagen or off-pink Huracán, it doesn't stand out, unless you're a car guy/gal, of course.

I had Protective Film Solutions do full PPF wrap (Xpel Stealth) + ceramic and tint the windows as well as wrap the rear decklid and the door handles, which are still somehow chrome on cars w/ the Night Package. They also were kind enough to paint the badges black. Tip-top work and I would recommend them to anyone in SoCal. I'll upload some pics tomorrow to show how it turned out.

Ah, no it was a selenite gray magno car similar to what Im getting, except no CCBs. The guy who got it is on here because he piped up at some point, but obviously not you. Akron sure gets a lot of AMG wagons…funny how some dealers seem to specialize in certain models and get better allocations on them. My local dealer, who gets a ton of G-wagons, can’t seem to get an AMG E wagon. Anyway, yeah post pics. Does your BBM car have CCB’s??

Alas, no. Those and the massaging seats are the only two things missing (excluding that silly CF engine cover, of course). I plan to swap in a set of the CCBs when the steels hit the end of their run. @ocdbroker did you ever manage to figure out how to get a dealer to sell/install CCBs?

And yea, pretty wild how much Wagon volume those guys do for being a small-ish dealer a good ways from a major metro.

^^^Can't wait to see your black wagon, bimmerconvert.

Yeh, I'm just having some fun speculating about 2023. Got an 'inside' tip a while back and curious to see how it plays out. Certainly nothing definitive at this point. I've been all over the map design-wise on these things. My 2022 build had both a custom exterior and interior. After having graphite and now black lately I've convinced myself that a silver wagon with night package and black interior would be my ultimate classic sleeper build. I will likely go Cirrus but may spend the extra money to either do classic MB Brilliant Silver or even Porsche's GT Silver. Either way I'm 90% certain the exterior will be silver. Lol

Can't wait to see you finally settle on a 4th wagon in a custom white (white being the other mega-sleeper color, IMO). Did you sell the black one?

No because I couldn't make a deal with guy selling graphite plus I wasn't thrilled with the interior. I won't pay over for these.

Hey ocdbroker, was thinking about your earlier post. If you are hellbent on silver and want a special MB silver you have to ask if they will do Alubeam (a la SLS). It would be a forever one of one.

No but here’s an olive green metallic wagon. Looks great. $10k for paint though…

Even the 2022 guide that lends itself to your name doesn't have a BRG example or paint code, though I'm sure if you were willing to pay them enough they'd be willing to do it. The closest is "Deep Green" (825) on an S-class.

Option 2: wrap it in BRG.

Alubeam is on the no-no list…

Bummerland but not surprising. I think if you can pay the freight they should do it but I get how complex it is.

Those SLRs were painted by hand, iirc... which is probably why they're not interested in offering that paint as an option (as well as keeping the exclusivity factor up on the SLR).

Signes, thank you! Not being an longtime AMG aficionado, I had no idea about this silver. It looks exactly like the German silver I've envisioned for this wagon. Will definitely explore this possibility.

For what it's worth, in my humble opinion, British Racing Green is not a good color for this big old wagon. I recently had a Speedster in BRG. Gorgeous shade of green but a little overwhelming in direct sunlight. I'd suggest a deeper shade of green for such a big wagon. Of course, there are many British Racing Greens. Many manufacturers have their own unique shade. I'm specifically referring to Porsche's.

That is gorgeous! I am partial to Irish or Brewster for Porsche greens but agree many are hard to pull off on a bigger body.

Here are a few sneak peak shots of the blacked-out badges and chrome “delete”. Chrome pieces all wrapped to match the Night Package, badges painted black to make them lower-contrast.

Unfortunately the weather here in LA is overcast today—will try for some better shots in the sun (vs the parking garage at the mall, lol) after the weather system hitting California has passed.

^^^That's hot! I love the BBM. They look amazing in person. Pictures don't do this color justice. Can you tell me exactly what film they used to wrap the door handles and rear belt line?

Looks great bimmerconvert. I don't mind chrome/silver trim, but that works too—different look. Is this what anyone else thinks of when the rear hatch beltline is done in black?
