Official waiting room for those with a new W213 on order..
Lol I still don't know how you found this one in a sea of garbage dealer and custom builds. Between the two of us we probably talked to most US MB dealers over the course of a couple months.

So what’s this about 2023? Please tell me you’re teasing me. I’m already having doubts about taking delivery of a 21 in 2022…but not sure I can wait any longer. This is insane.

I have a non-AMG wagon ordered that was supposed to be built today. Wonder how long it will sit over there…

I called about the red one Akron had and upon realizing that it was the review mule for R&T/etc (with 8k! miles), I passed... but I told the sales guy to give a holler if anything new popped up on his radar... and the BBM one did. I flew to Akron on the way to NYC, took delivery and had her shipped out west.
I'll put some pics up one of these days--I had the PPF folks black all of the chrome out and paint the badges black (I had considered removing them, but didn't want to steal ocd's badgeless thunder). It's very pretty--and here in LA where everyone drives a neon-green Geländewagen or off-pink Huracán, it doesn't stand out, unless you're a car guy/gal, of course.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
And yea, pretty wild how much Wagon volume those guys do for being a small-ish dealer a good ways from a major metro.

Yeh, I'm just having some fun speculating about 2023. Got an 'inside' tip a while back and curious to see how it plays out. Certainly nothing definitive at this point. I've been all over the map design-wise on these things. My 2022 build had both a custom exterior and interior. After having graphite and now black lately I've convinced myself that a silver wagon with night package and black interior would be my ultimate classic sleeper build. I will likely go Cirrus but may spend the extra money to either do classic MB Brilliant Silver or even Porsche's GT Silver. Either way I'm 90% certain the exterior will be silver. Lol

Option 2: wrap it in BRG.
For what it's worth, in my humble opinion, British Racing Green is not a good color for this big old wagon. I recently had a Speedster in BRG. Gorgeous shade of green but a little overwhelming in direct sunlight. I'd suggest a deeper shade of green for such a big wagon. Of course, there are many British Racing Greens. Many manufacturers have their own unique shade. I'm specifically referring to Porsche's.

Here are a few sneak peak shots of the blacked-out badges and chrome “delete”. Chrome pieces all wrapped to match the Night Package, badges painted black to make them lower-contrast.
Unfortunately the weather here in LA is overcast today—will try for some better shots in the sun (vs the parking garage at the mall, lol) after the weather system hitting California has passed.
