I thought I read somewhere that the W214 will have a V8 option because the M5 decided to keep it too. This is to compete with BMW.

AMG E63 Hammer Wagon. Alfa, Rover, Ferrari, Porsche.
Hope so, but the OEM's are in different situations when it comes to things like their greenhouse-gas emission/carbon credits (can't recall the correct term, GHG credits?). It would appear that MB fell behind the EV curve, and they can buy the credits from other OEMs that have a surplus (like Tesla) to compensate, but that's costly. It's widely suspected that this has something to do with why MB canceled so many fuel hungry/carbon intense hi-po V8 models for the 2022MY (mine included). BMW clearly wasn't in this situation for whatever reason.

Chances are this is a long(er) term holder for me.
I'm debating whether I'll be keeping my Graphite Grey 2021 E63S after the end of 2023. I have an SL63 roadster on order to be delivered at the beginning of next year and I'm thinking about buying one of the 2024 EQS SUV's. My current ride has every option except for the CF engine cover so it's probably unique among US wagons at this point. I'll post here if I pull the trigger on the SUV so that someone in this forum could acquire my ride at that time. I also purchased the Extended Factory warranty which doesn't expire until 2028. Decisions abound.

Exactly the case. BMW has been selling their "i" series for years now, MB just dropped the EQS. MB has barely been selling hybrids for long..

Just found this thread and thought I'd pop in to say I'm feeling lucky that I placed an order (E53 coupe) end of January and got word this week it's in Baltimore. The only thing that wasn't available for some reason was the augmented nav. Still not here yet, of course, and that could still take awhile, but after seeing some people that waited 15 months I don't feel bad about it.

The "augmented nav", what is that exactly? Do you suspect it as the reason for your delay? If so, perhaps it requires some special, lower volume chip?
Just shooting in the dark here, my '19 E53 does not have that. Mine has the hardest to use older nav system, probably the most difficult to use nav system ever devised. Even the system I used in a '07 VW van I rented whilst in Germany was easier to use. (Once I changed the language over to English, that is...).

Here's the blurb from their website. I don't think this has anything to do with the delay. Everything is just taking forever right now.

I have a 2019 E450 right now and honestly don't have complaints about the nav system other than the voice turns itself on every time.

Bravo! I was hoping to be in your shoes. The Thermopylae has been moored in Newark, NJ for the last 10 days. I don't understand what the holdup is, but I'm soooo close! Share pics!

The augmented nav is hands down the best OEM nav system I've ever used. Prior to getting it, I pretty much ignored all the OEM nav systems in my previous cars (BMW's and Audi's) in favor of a handheld Garmin that I mounted on the dash or, later, Waze (which I still use from time to time for information about accidents, police, etc.). The augmented nave is simple to use, especially when using "Hey Mercedes", and the visuals are outstanding. That said, I have no idea if that is the cause of your delay. But isn't the augmented nav associated with the Hermes chip, which has been a big cause of some delays?

The 19" wheels are growing on me, especially on the Selenite gray. Good thing that's what I ordered

If you do sell, pls let me know - I am in Raleigh and would like a final year wagon. Mine's a 2019 but yours with all the goodies sounds like a better last fling. (still would try to get a Final Edition if that comes to fruition)

MBUSA opened the 23 order bank for the E 63 wagon. Oddly enough not for the sedan.

That's surprising! Thought the AMG wagon was done in the US.

Probably because the sedan production ends in March 23 and all final allocations are sold out for all markets. The wagon production is ongoing until the end of Q3 and there seems to be open production allocations available

999 total WW allocations with mix of sedan and wagon. The specs are Graphite Magno, titanium interior, yellow stitching, night package exterior, darkened lighting, AMG Performance seats, black forged wheels, specific number badging. No choice on any equipment except for body style. Good luck to finding an allocation.

Were recent S213 deliveries to the States considered 2022 models? Just had Service A completed on my 2021 Wagon after 13 months of ownership...only 4500 miles on odometer.

It looks like the E 63 S (Sedan) is now back in the US for MY2023!
I don't think the final/special edition will be, though.

I had my first A Service and rear differential lube change done on my 2021 Wagon in late June and it only had 2150 miles on it.

Keep this thread going…so how many miles did your wagon have on it at the first A Service?
