I can see it from MBs point of view. Even with the waiver if someone is seriously hurt/died and the Hermes module could have made a difference there would be a lawsuit. I'm not a lawyer but I suspect even a waiver doesn't fully indemnify MB.
For some reason Travall says they fit 2016 to 2020, but via email said they don't fit in 2021. Worked fine in my 2018. Anyone know if 2021 interior changed?
I've tried other dog barrier products, like Weathertech, and there's no comparison. Anyone have a suggestion on an alternate that works for large dogs?
My dealer just called, to say that my E63 Wagon has been languishing at Baltimore VPC since February 15, because MB has made the executive decision of not delivering any more cars without the Hermes module actually installed, even though I signed a waiver many months ago. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
This is beyond ridiculous. The only silver lining to this could be that the delivery of these Hermes modules could be imminent because it would be outrageous if they intended on holding your car indefinitely like this without it. My service guy claimed it was going to be installed this summer, but I put almost no stock in any of that. It always seems like their (Mercedes) reps make things up on the fly. Hope you get your car soon.

The reason for the stop ship order is that there are multiple lawsuits filed against MB for the lack of delivery of the Hermes module. So, regardless of signing a waiver that you agree for the lack of function, you'll have to wait for the modules to be available.

Wow. Didn't know about this. Tech as it relates to safety in cars is cool but I can do without most of the other clutter. Give me wireless Apple CarPlay and get rid of 90% of the bells and whistles.

MB of Boise was fantastic through the whole process, even the dark months when there was no news from MB. Delivery went exactly as they promised and they sold car at MSRP. They will definitely get my business for the next car.

Looks great!!! By any chance did you notice what your build date was on the door card?? My car was delivered late Dec. and was ordered last March. As with others, my car supposedly, was delayed and I was told that car didn’t get built until Sept. according to the info. sent to the dealership from MB. But my build date on my door shows a date of 07/21. So, I was curious what date is on your wagon?? There seems to be a little discrepancy from when they say the car was built and the date on the door card. I suspect, the chip is to blame.
Interesting. I’m in the same boat (ordering timeline), my door jamb is also 7/21, and my build sheet also said September, and yet it sat at the factory until February before finally getting on a boat to cross the pond.
The white looks great! Dont see too many of them for some reason. Its a nice pearl white too. 👍🏻
The car looks great, SV! Was it, in fact, delivered without the Hermes Module? My car, which had been sitting at the Baltimore VPC for the past two months, has finally been released to carrier, apparently with the module intact.

No Hermes module and no date for Hermes. I asked my dealer and his service manager had no info on Hermes release but hope it's soon. Door jamb date is also 7/21. I think they had a batch of AMG wagons scheduled to start in July and they've trickled out as the ordered features show up. I was told I couldn't get the 14-way seats when I ordered. I think they also told me no dash cam. I was able to get Acoustic Comfort, which was important since my dog never liked the road noise in the old wagon. Haven't taken it out on the highway yet to test if there's any difference. Mine came with Pirelli P-Zero tires. I've generally like Contis better for road noise and Michelin Alpin for snow.
I've been waiting on my 2022 E53 Sedan since February. Production was supposed to be this month, but no formal update yet from MB. Anyone have any idea when April production was supposed to begin? Anyone else with an April production car get notice?
