Hi guys! I have a 2018 E43 amg and the car is pretty much new. I bought it with 5k miles, no accident & now it has 10k miles. Well the first few miles I drove it was fine. My surrounding parking senOrs only went off when I went to a car wash or was actually close to something. As of lately they have been going crazy. It’s always beeping and showing me there’s something on the front right corner or ahead of me but I’m far away from anything. I will be driving casually and it just pops up on my screen and it’s so annoying and if I have music on or something it cancels it out to alert me. I tried to turn off the parking assist and it still pops up. I don’t know what to do. Does anyone know how to turn it off completely until you want it on for parking purposes? I’m about ready to break my screen because of how annoying it is lol! 🤣

Sounds like your parking sensors need to be recalibrated. I'd take the car in to your local MB service center... shouldn't take them too long (~1-2h assuming no other issues found).

As far as I know the PFL W213 has the following array of buttons to the left of the steering wheel as well. The one with P Off turns off the parking sensors. If the LED is on, then they are off. They come back on after restarting the car as far as I remember. In my experience the sensors do occasionally come on in slow traffic. Happens occasionally in my C63, but not enough to be annoying. They are quite sensitive and detect curbs and other low obstructions to support the automatic parking assist.

You probably have a bad sensor. A tiny rock can take one out. And it does just that -- goes off all the time. I had one damaged by a rock. It's a pain to replace. Bumper has to come off and the new sensor has to be painted, installed, the bumper reinstalled and then the sensor calibrated.

It may be detecting ghosts! Have you seen the tesla cam in a cemetery???

But on a serious not, the carwash may have damaged it of knocked it our of alignment (needs reinstall and calibration)
