Help understanding suspension /wheel offsets
Not good to assume, but I assume that an E300, E450, E53 or E63 of the same range likeW213, would all have the same suspension layout if you pop a wheel off. Yet, all these models seem to have different offset wheels. To me this means that the suspension layout is not the same? So, are the suspensions very different in these cars? My E53 came with a OEM front wheel with a plus 20 offset. Most every other AMG wheel I see has a bigger positive offset by 20mm or so. I believe a wheel like that would rub on my upper control arm ( I think that is the part I see ). Do these other model wheels actually fit each other model?

E300/450: standard
Front and Rear suspension - Indep multi link
E53/63S: standard
Front and Rear suspension - Indep air spring, multi link. The damping ratio would be different between the two.
As for wheels offsets, maybe AMG division may not want the E63 wheels to fit onto other trims, vice versa. The objective is to ensure each class gets their unique look and setup.

Fender width / shape, brake caliper / rotor depth as well as wheel liner depth and shape all play into it. E63 front wheels will not fit an E53 without rubbing on turns. 4matic and non 4matic also play a role.
