Michelin Alpins are my all-time favorite tires to run in the winter. And they feel amazing on this car.

Michelin PA5. I just changed to this after having the Conti wintercontact 850P for the last 4 seasons

I run Pirelli Sotozero series III winters in OEM sizes. They are great in dry cold and in the snow.

Michelin Alpin PA4’s in OEM 20” sizing. Same tires MB uses on the factory 19” winter setup.

These tires are amazing. I got them too from MB dealership three weeks ago. The car still looks bad *** and the performance on wet and snow is very impressive 👍👍 I live in Toronto Area

I wish I had opted for the 20s instead of the 19s when buying my car. 19s just don’t look great on a car of this size, imo. The tires are great though.

We used the Sottozero 3's and they worked great in Minnesota winters. I was less thrilled about them lasting only 7k miles before they needed replacement.
We needed a winter tire for a couple of months before turning the car in and decided that buy some cheaper all-seasons instead. Car still drove fine in snow albeit a dedicated snow tire is the best choice when used for long and heavy winters.

That said, I realized today we still had those Bridgestone's laying around. In case anyone is interested for a nice deal on these ($500). Used at most for 2k miles...

I have PA4s in 19", but my tires all have the tread that the left-most tire in your photo has. Why does the next tire over have a different tread pattern?

The PA4's, in that 20" size, have a rear-specific tread pattern and design.
