Drill-less Plate Holder

Drill-less Plate Holder
My plates finally arrived from the DMV and when I went to install the front it occurred to me there was no existing bracket (or apparent mechanism to attach one). I emailed StoNShow because they didn't have a part number for the 2021 E63. Probably a dumb question but I asked them if the 2018-2020 GTR part would work since it also has the Panamerican.
Has anyone mounted their own front plate holder and can share some advice? Apologies in advance if a drill-less option isn't a thing and I'm making a fool of myself for asking

Or just don't mount the front plate as many of us do. I've only ever gotten one fixit ticket for not having a front license plate. I mounted one on the cars afterwards that had a front bracket, but so far haven't put one on the AMG. I did European Delivery where I had to have a front license plate, so they mounted one at the delivery center, but the VPC filled the holes and restored the front bumper to factory conditions when the car arrived stateside, so I wasn't gonna drill holes again. San Francisco is notorious for writing tickets if the car is parked on the streets without a front license plate. That's where I got mine, so I just don't drive it into the city anymore unless I can park inside a structure. If I get another ticket, I'll probably just get a towing eye mount to temporarily mount it and get the ticket signed off, and then remove it again.

I just don't mount my front plate. I got ticketed once, about ten years ago for it. I just said that the dealer forgot to put it on and I was procrastinating. He gave me a "Fix it Ticket." I zip tied the plate to the bumper, went to court, got the ticket dismissed, and then pulled the plate off when I got home. Annoying, but worth it not to clutter up the front with a plate.
Cops are unlikely to pull you over for such a minor thing.

Hmmm that got me curious, does that give an excuse for officers to charge you through redlight cameras and speed cameras because the front plate is missing even though you weren't speeding or running red lights because they "couldn't" see your plate even though I understand they take multiple pictures of the front and rear of the vehicle. For example, my friend told me they did just that and I understand every country has different laws so I am curious how your country handles it. I am not quite sure how it all works and the details though. I don't supposed it makes any sense though. The good news is, my friend's ticket got thrown out because he was not speeding nor running redlights when that is the function of the camera in the first place.

BTW, as far as I know a cop also can't pull you over in the USA for just missing a front plate. They have to have another reason to pull you over and then can tack on the lack of a front plate. I've been stopped for speeding and the cop didn't give a hoot about my missing front plate.

I ran no front plate on my c63s for 2 years, got a couple verbal warnings for it for it and two tickets. They're only $109 and 0 points, so it was worth it for me. I wish my e63s didn't come with a front plate mounted already, I'm going to assume there is probably 4 nasty holes in the bumper if I remove the plate holder though.

Ya, in British Columbia they're actually allowed to pull you over just to check your license and/or breathalyze you with no suspicion of being drunk. Ya, you read that right.

$109 isn't too bad and glad there are no demerits.
Wise decision to leave the front plates off your AMG, it looks so much better and no holes in the front bumper that way.
Sorry to hear that the E 63s AMG did in fact got holes drilled in the front bumper though...

2018 E63s wagon (& lots of Subarus)
I just put the Slybracket on the front my E63 and its awesome. Fits very well, very adjustable, lots of options for fitment.
Basically it has a clamp that secures to a part of the grill or bumper of your choosing

It gets worse, a great number of the cities, especially downtown Vancouver, have started pulling cars over if they can spot or hear ANY modification and handing out vehicle inspection notice, which requires you to pass a full vehicle inspection. A car with any part not stock will usually fail these. They have even gone as far started handing out excessive noise tickets and inspection notices for bone stock cars that are using their sport or sport plus modes. They're claiming those modes are illegal to use and only for track use. A brand new BMW press car was over here being used for test drives and it famously got a vehicle inspection notice for the exhaust crackling a bit on decel in sport. You're pretty much looked at like a criminal if cars is your hobby, it feels like these days. There's quite a few videos uploaded to YouTube by random people showing their encounters.

That is sad, ever think of moving to Ontario instead? Although you will end up paying higher taxes here though. So I guess there is that. Edit: Oh... and plus we get way more snow so unfortunately even less chance to enjoy your vehicle. Edit2: Oh a second thought, I recommend staying in Vancouver because I forgot to mention we have speed and red light cameras too. $5 per 1 KM over (1-19 over) or $7.5 per 1 KM over (20-29 over) or $12 per 1 KM over (30-49 over). I have the STO N SHO. It doesn't drill in, you use two bolts that are already hidden under the front splitter. It has a simple, spring loaded lock so it's easy to take it and out.
Here's pictures of my car with and without to show how clean the install and look is.

Yes. It’s terrible in downtown vancouver BC, the VPD have apparently nothing to do other than concentrating on peoples bumpers and stock exhaust sound. I’ve gotten away with no front plate on a few of my cars but just a couple weeks ago got a ticket for no front plate on my BMW. Im waiting on a StoNshow bracket.

I bought Stonsho as well for my E53. Highly recommended! Weird enough, it did not work because the underside of my Cabrio must be different from sedans? They are a great company! I emailed and spoke to them on the phone. Very personable. He asked me if I wanted a refund or he could fabricate one just for me! I took him up on it and he sent me one with special adhesive strip. Their product is a very cool design and in fact it will probably give my air dam some protection from a low curb or driveway because it would scrape first. I did not install it yet though because too busy. I zip tied my plate temporarily on through that honeycomb grill. Looks OK actually.

slybrackets.com/store/SLY-BRACKET-FOR-MERCEDES-WITH-HORIZONTAL-AND-OR-VERTICAL-SLATS-LOWER-GRILLE-p295438002 shows a GT43 that looks right. Another rookie question, do we (2021 E63S) share the same front as the 2021 GT43?

For California cars, and apparently a few other states, there is always this option. https://licenseplatewrap.com
