I noticed some of the clear coat is peeling of my front calipers. Anyone know if they're covered under warranty? The car has 15k miles.

You should try for a warranty claim even though dealer may see this as wear & tear issue

 

I'm going to try and claim the repair under warranty for sure. I was hoping someone would share some knowledge they learned along the way. I'd love to hear the dealers "wear and tear" explanation

 

I have this issue on mine. The dealer wouldn't cover and said it was normal wear and tear. Pretty lame.

Warranty. Don’t let them tell you otherwise. I had it happen on a 2014.

 

There has been people getting them replaced as good will, however it is mostly up to the service manager at the service department. If you got a good relationship with your service department, they can do it under good will, but again it will depend on the relationship with your service advisor/manager. You might need to visit other dealerships if yours can’t help with it.

 

My dealer covered them under warranty on my car.

 

Can you post a picture of the failing paint? I am curious of what to look out for.
