E53 Wagon wheel options?
E53 wagons run:
245/35/20 8x20 ET 20
275/30/20 9x20 ET 49
I can see there is easily enough room (like 10mm on both the front and back) to run wider...
Let me know and thank you!!

you will need new tires accordingly.
with new wheels and tires, I’m not so sure it’s worth the $ to run just a slightly wider tires.
michelin ps4s tires (e63s setup) would be another $2700 Cdn (all incl) easily.

Aside from oem wheels, forum members tend to do custom wheels ordering, given the e63s offset is very weird and you are going to have a tough time finding cheapo aftermarket wheels that meet your liking. (You can but they might be gravity cast wheels likely and quality is hit and miss)

on another topic, have you used MBhouse?

you can use this site to see your current vs proposed setup to ensure the new setup will cause no issue … ie. clearing the front suspension especially.

if you are willing to spend the $, then bbs would be a great choice.
I have not used mb house, I did consider using them for some coding service a few yrs back but ended up not doing it. I believe they are reputable as based on a few reviews I had seen on some social media sites.
if you are in maple, then there is a good chance I may run into you then … with your unique personal plate, I surely would give you a honk 😁

If no luck, you should start making a few calls in early spring to reserve/get those tires.

@Coopaloop! personally I like your current setup...will be easier to fit winter tires.

I swapped out my worn factory Michelin 4s into PS all season 4 (I’m in my 2nd season now). Ride is a bit softer. Tire noise is about the same (kinda noisy) as 4s. Dry grip is probably 80% of 4S. Wet grip is slightly better than 4S (on asphalt). In the end, just shy of $1,000 savings for choosing the all season 4. Btw, I don’t use this for winter as I have dedicated winters.
if anyone is driving theirs very aggressively, I recommend you are to stay with 4s (mainly for the grip)

Had to take off OE summer RFT for New Mexico cold morning winters and trips thru mountain passes. Had planned to replace with summer setup in June 2022 but have gotten used to softer overall ride especially in S and S+. Don't plan on tracking my heavy AMG Wagon especially since didn't spec CCB. My manual Chevy SS is equipped with Michelin Summers that I feel confident up to its mph limit. Tire noise is slightly better than OE RFT...but when Continentals get worn they become more noisy from experience. When I ran the older DWS06 tires on 2009 Pontiac G8 GT ten years ago they didn't inspire confidence above 130mph. These new DWS06+ tires on my 2021 Wagon with better suspension than Pontiac and 4Matic+ are good enough for now and for when I encounter potholes in DC and NYC this Fall and Winter. Plus they are way cheaper than Michelins and were in stock at Discount Tire Warehouse in 2021. Purchased Jack, breaker bar, and Torque wrench for Wagon since need to cross all of TEXAS on way to GA residence 1500 miles away. Good thing that I have 4 spare tires now!
If you plan on tracking your vehicle get the Michelin Summer non run flats and change to winters or all seasons depending on your climate. I have options with 3 high performance vehicles out West and 2 Asian Appliances in Georgia.
Tirerack.com has DWS06+: $1043.96 for All Terrain (245/40 ZR20 XL)
Vredestein Quatrac Pro same fitment: $837.84
I need the extra winter bite for my Hybrid's AWD 18" application...
Give us update which ultra high performance all season tire you prefer when you get 2023 E63s: Michelin versus Continental.
In 2021, my only choice was DWS06+ for AMG Wagon's staggered fitment. Michelin was out of stock at the time.
Drive Safe!
The two we are discussing are the only quality A/S options for either wagon application (neither of which are the subject wagon...apologies for derailing).
