CCB's will last the life of most road cars, with zero dust and excellent performance. Replacing steels on an AMG can be costly if you don't know where to look and what to do.

CCBs can also crack from road debris and are not as good when cold and they can get noisy. Contrary to popular believes they have minimally more stopping power due to their slightly larger size. Mainly they are more heat resistant. On a heavy car like the E63 you could argue for them if you brake hard frequently and get them really hot, but I have yet to fade AMG steel brakes and I do drive hard in the canyons. BTW even the CCBs can get too hot on heavy cars. We had a chat about that at the AMG driving event I attended in Germany a couple of months ago. We drove the EQS 53 and they admitted that it'll cook the CCBs if you are having too much fun with it. Pretty much all the cars at these events usually have CCBs. They don't really stop any better than the steels, but yes since those cars get hammered all day, they'll perform longer and deal with the heat much better. I agree that replacing the steel brakes on an AMG can be expensive if you just take it to the dealer, but I pretty much always go for better aftermarket rotors and have my indy do the brake job. On my C63 I now have the C63 Black Series full floating front rotors for example.
They mailed in that final edition, IMO...which makes perfect sense, as there cannot be much motivation to dedicate resources to an outgoing model. But if that is the color you were going to order anyway, then you might as well grab the extra badges and cool-factor.
We've gone over the CCBs here in the AMG W213 room a few times. They are the better brakes for these cars for three main reasons, in no particular order:
1. They (practically objectively) look better
2. They last a lonnnng time on a daily driver
3. No dust
Those that aren't on board with the CCBs usually cite reasons related to hypothetical track use. The CCBs are the better choice for these cars because we don't use them on the track.
The best reason to cite against CCBs is that they cost $8,000. The next best argument against is that for some, on occasion, they can be noisy.
It's all relative, as it's like $30k to get the correct engine, right? The correct brakes are $8k, throw 'em on there!

Kinda disappointed in this final edition. It’s basically the same as the Edition 1.
It should be fully loaded and with the tune of the GT63s / S63. Or they could have done something special for the final ICE AMG e class and given it Hell Green paint and an AMG GT black series motor and called it the Anvil or something.
Anyway this car isn’t special enough for me to trade my ‘19 and pay a bunch more $. A missed opportunity for MB on this one.

Not sure what people were expecting. It's still an E63S. They weren't gonna make it a different car just for the final 999. Just a bunch of cosmetic stuff, not really a different car. GT BS engine...LOL!.

The car should be LOADED with almost every option (sound system, ccb's, hud, driver assist, etc) and then you can have the final edition bling added. That's the way it would be in Germany. Paying a high MSRP for what is a bare-bones E63S is a joke.

Breaking Bad...
I would have taken a bare bones E63s Final Edition with a 7-stick...they could have sent it to Porsche like the iconic W124 500E for that Manual Touch! Miss driving 8, 10, and 13-speed manual transmissions in Permian Basin Oilfields...gave up Trucking at age 59.5.
(Might return to Engineering after Holidays if they throw enough money at me...911 Targa 4S manual test drive and instantaneous addiction this past Monday in Albuquerque, facilitated by the Porsche Dope Man was illegal!)
