2017 E63s - OEM ride height links not fitting after removal
Hello all
Bit of a strange one this . . . . . I had lowering links installed about a year ago but now I want to return it to stock ride height by installing the OEM links.
However, the hole on the OEM links is too small for the "ball joint" to push back in to. Its supposed to be push fit but there's no chance of that ball going in to the hole. The rubber is too hard and simply will not stretch around it. I've tried putting the links in hot water to try and soften the rubber as well as using oil and WD40 to help it. But nothings working.
Is there a special way of doing this that I'm missing or do I have to cut the rubber to get it in?
