^ Yes, I am also curious for ones that have reserved an allocation. Did you call every MB dealer to see if they had the E63 wagon allocated or it just happened that your local MB dealer had one allocated? And is everyone paying MSRP or with a markup? Thanks

I hounded my salesman that sold me my 2016 every single time I went into the dealership for the past year (maybe longer).

"Can we order a new E63 wagon?"
"No sir, no '63s in any model - supply chain issues. Would you like to order an xyz or an E53?"
"Sorry, I'm only interested in the E63 wagon. If they ever become orderable please save one for me and call me to spec it"
"Ok Sir"

When the E63 was orderable again he would say every time
"No wagons sir, but can I interest you in a nice Sedan?"
"No thank you, I only have interest in the wagon."

Rinse and repeat for a year then all of a sudden he called me "Sir! We can order the E63 wagon, but we have to be fast. There's 11 salesman here and everyone is calling their customers to tell them right now. Tell me what you want to do."
"I'm in!"

And that's all she wrote

PS dealer markup varies greatly. My dealer does not do ADM. When I asked Mr. Salesman if it would be MSRP or marked up he acted cheerfully offended lol
"SIR! This is Oakville Mercedes! We do not do such things. Please."

My build was submitted and I was told once the allocation opens then they should have an idea of the production timeline.

Not to rain on the parade, but Mercedes has a bad habit of deleting committed options when there is no possibility of getting them installed in the production vehicle. Instead, you'll see a credit for the omitted parts on the sticker. Sometimes the parts can be installed later, like the Hermes module, but it's harder to install the replacement glass for the HUD. It's Ike going to the craps table at Vegas.

Try to find a dealer that sells a lot of AMG vehicles and you should be good. Some dealers get taken care of more than others depending on what they sell and how many etc.

I will let you know if I come across an allocation.

I pre-traded my 2021 almost new for a custom 2022. Spent 3 months customizing and MB canceled all open orders a few days after my order locked. Then had to battle with my dealer and MB to get an allocation this time around.

^ Please do @ocdbroker . Are you pre-trading your 2021 to get max. $ out of it? Do you know if there is going to be any main difference between 2021 vs 2023?

Appreciate all the members in this forum!

I sold my car several months ago. No material differences between 2021 and 2023 model years.

The 2023 builds have metallic paint and CF interior as std equipment. All other specs are either identical or, in some cases, options instead of std. Good fortune in your quest.

My salesman is checking for an unused allocation at his ATL store. He will hit me back on Wednesday. 2023 models just have a higher MSRP but I'm not an expert like @HBerman . Hope you can join the club with a build!

I'll check with my salesman here in Raleigh. Sedans are more prevalent in allocations than wagons, but the latter are still possible. My understanding is that Europe has already used all of the 2023 allocations so the remainder for NA are most limited. There was a post that a Canadian dealer in Vancouver had 8 builds available, but I'm not sure that those builds could be moved to the US.

Got it. There was an Arabian Grey as an option in the past, will that be an option for the 2023? To me, that was an awesome color! So if there is no difference between '21 vs. '23, then is everyone getting it because it is the last year of the E63 V8 wagons?

You can specify Arabian Grey as paint customization for a significant extra cost, but it's not standard for 2021 or 2023. I've no clue why someone who has a 2021 wagon is ordering a 2023 wagon unless they didn't like some aspect of their original build. The cars will mechanically perform the same. My graphite gray wagon is a full spec build minus the CF engine cover bling. The car is performing flawlessly since Feb 2021 (Dec 2020 build). The only change that I've made is to dump the POS Michelin PS/4 tires for Michelin PS/4 AS tires. Better ride and more suited to weather conditions in NC.

Harris, you are the first person that I've heard doesn't like Michelin PS4. I thought they were performance tires and not all-seasons. I've always had great luck with them and always felt them as quite accommodating. I have them on my full-size RR as summer tires. And get them on my 911 GT cars and they feel very 'cushy' vs my Cup 2s. What tires are you running on your wagon and what are the main benefits. Thanks!

Anthony, I don't have the luxury of a personal garage with a lift so that I can store an additional set of tires by season. PS/4 tires can't be used when the temperatures are below 45 degrees so that means having to change the tires in October and March. Also, since there are warm spells here in Raleigh, having winter tires on the car when it is 80 degrees will just eat them up. There's very little snow here in Eastern NC so no big deal. The PS/4 ride harder than the PS/4 AS and since I don't track my wagon, there is very little that I'm giving up overall. CT weather is much colder and has more consistent colder winter temps and, of course, much more large snowfall to use winter tires.

BTW, I still have the original PS/4 tires from my 2018 E63S in storage mounted on the OEM cross-spoke wheels!

The wear characteristics of the PS/4 AS are superior to the PS/4 which have a softer tread compound. I've had them on since 1300 miles with now 14000 on them now with almost 75% original tread depth remaining. The PS/4 would have already been scrapped at this point of mileage. There are other AS tires from Bridgestone, Continental, Falken, and others that also come with UHP capabilities and are more suited to use in areas where the snowfall is moderate. BTW, in Germany, it is illegal to use summer tires after a certain time of the year. That's why I've never understood why Mercedes doesn't offer an alternative tire selection. My 2018 and 2021 E63S were both delivered in February when the temps were around 30 degrees or so at the time of delivery. Totally dangerous if there was any water on the road at the time. The ride was like being on hockey pucks for wheels!

Your climate is challenging. Me? I don't believe in all-season tires living in colder climate. Otherwise, I'd probably do the same. Plus, I have a wheel and tire fetish. Actually enjoy changing tires to the point I'm thinking about buying a Hunter machine (but doubtful).

Last time I was visiting sister in West Harrison NY had to cut my visit short by Halloween with my summer tires. Crossed the Tappan Zee at 430am and was back in Athens, GA by 5pm. Where are you located in CT@ocdbroker ? Sister likes shopping at Stew Leonard's. Normally I park my cars at her house and take the Metro North down to the City just to avoid the potholes, lack of parking, theft, and demolition derby. With my DWS06+ A/S tires usually leave her home for GA right after Thanksgiving to avoid the snow. Missed out on NY home cooking this past weekend because AMG Wagon was in the ABQ NM MB shop for 65+ days...Active Steering Assist stopped working after Service A. Pretty much have a brand new steering wheel now including all the modules and switches. Drove a brand new 2022 GLC300 loaner and returned it 9 weeks later with nearly 3500-miles...I won't be posting on that GLC thread...lol

Plan to return to NY and NE for the first time in my AMG Wagon after June 2023...searching for the best Lobster Roll! Had a $45 premium one this past June 2022 when Daughter walked at MIT in Cambridge. Her 2021 graduation was just a remote ceremony. Fortunately and old colleague from MIT/LL picked up the check for me and the wife. Any suggestions for the best Lobster Roll @ocdbroker since it was originally created in Connecticut? @SW20S helped with my best crabcake quest in Maryland after we returned from Boston South on the Amtrak to BWI station. Found the best V8 Wagon finally in retirement after being misled by GM Discounts on LS engines in Chevys and Holdens for 30-years. The best Lobster Roll is next on the Bucket List...

I liked Legal Seafood when I lived in Cambridge. The NoName restaurant and Anthony's Pier 4 were also good choices. The Clambox in Greenwich was also a good choice.

It appears as though there a number of people here connected to Cambridge. I didn’t like Cambridge/Boston for its lobster rolls when I lived there. My wife and I went on the hunt for the best lobster roll years ago during our honeymoon. We only did it in Boston and Nantucket. It’s certainly not the time of year to go, but Nantucket had excellent lobster rolls. I can’t remember where but we had 4 in Nantucket, 3 were very good and 1 was Costco food court grade.

Never been to Nantucket just Cape Cod...grandfather immigrated there from Cape Verde in 1912 then settled Freeport Long Island. The Scientists at Lexington liked the No Name Restaurant but it closed after 102-years about three years ago. Will also try Greenwich @HBerman . On the way up to Boston on Amtrak saw an AMG E63s Wagon getting off the Ferry from Long Island; traffic was brutal on I-95 besides the tracks. Also have two old coworkers from California/NM now working in Rhode Island on Sonar Projects. Guess they're waiting to age 65 to retire...they took me to Mohegan Sun Casino that had many Restaurants and Shopping under its huge roof.
