W213 E63s RMS Leak
on a side note anyone know if the oil gets changed during RMS job or do they just put the old oil back in? I like to change every 5-8k instead of 10k so i was wondering if they did already or not.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Every oil change.
I work from home and drive it on weekends mostly, I average 5000km/year and change my oil once a year.
Instead of removing the cans for drainage my dealer told me he could run drainage tubes from the bottom of the cans down the engine bay for easy flush.
I just got the car back from instalation and no CEL, I am going back in 2 weeks to make sure nothing is rubbing where it shouldn't. The instructions provided for installation weren't exactly plug and play, had to custom install & tweak some stuff but overall I'm pretty stoked.

I know you have a warranty. Did they say how much or how many hours it took em?

Holy hell that's a lot of blow-by for only 1000km.
Do you guys make a lot of short trips & not let the oil temps get above 200f? Water does boil at 212f. I would think idling the motor for a few minutes above 210f would take care of the water & condensation from the blow-by and keep the motor from blowing through the RMS by keeping the engine sludge under control

on my W212 at 159,583 kms I rolled in and they addressed everything
and they held the work order open until all the parts came in, because I then rolled well past 160,000 before they actually started any of the work

Plus to me that seems like a lot of oil. How many miles until it’s needed to add a quart?
Good luck guys I hope you nail it

. YMMV on this one. You get a warning when you are down a quart (telling you to add a quart of oil). I only know because I got the alert after cruising at high rpm one afternoon. I checked the dipstick (using the recommended method in the owners manual) and everything looked fine
. The after sitting for 15 - 20 min the warning went away.

The message is inconsistent product quality, which means they aren't matching or classifying bore, piston and ring tolerances.
The Porsche EA839 2.9TTV6 burns no oil as widely reported by users.
