Originally, 150 FE sedans and 150 FE wagons were allocated to the US market. Sounds like the wagons flew off the lot, but that the sedans are languishing. Am I misunderstanding the current state?

150 identical matte gray FE sedans....that's possibly more numerous and less unique than a regular 2021 or 2023 non-FE sedan.

Harris, my numbers above were way off as I excluded a couple sources. Update: 51 FE wagons and 79 sedans available at the moment. Could be up to 10% of these sold but I can't tell for certain.

Heard from my guy again, still available (they did sell the C63 FE) let me know if anyone wants contact info.
And no, I have no skin in the game here, just trying to help out someone I’ve worked with for years. Did tell him it’s a tough sell for all the reasons discussed in this thread.

Roughly 140 new (55 wagons lol) listed for sale right now. Even assuming 10% of these are sold units, this is more supply than ever before by a very wide margin. If you're looking for a Final Edition, I think $10k under will easily buy you a wagon right now, and perhaps closer to $20k under for sedan. Even $167k is a big stretch for these cars. Who knows? Still a crazy world with so many pockets of bubbles... so much Monopoly money floating around... so maybe they'll all sell for MSRP. Doubtful though. One thing is for certain, Mercedes, tiring of dealers capturing the excess, priced them too high in this particular case.

IMO. MBZ should have sent and allowed the US plenty of non FE 2023 E63s especially since there were no 2022 E63s avaiable here. Seems they should be trying to catch up to all the losses from not having any Model Year 2022 E63's.

Please clarify "watered down" missing content. There is magno paint added (+$), special black painted calipers (+$), special black forged wheel, applique (+$), yellow piping, badges (+$), and limited edition plaques. What i see is not included: CCB's, HUD, acoustic sound proofing with infrared glass, VR navigation, dash cam. I wouldn't call those items (except for the CCB's) as deal breaking.
Edit: CF trim was standard for 2023. But looks like quite a few other options were not standard or available on the FE cars.

As far as e63s go in the model line up its loaded. Compared to the FE’s worldwide its watered down. Multi beam missing, ccb missing, amongst other things and considering its a non configurable model it is just a regular e63s with nice paint and badging in the US

Also no dynamic headlights on the sedan, and no rear AC on either. In addition to the above, Alcantara headliner is included…but aren’t we all aware at this point that the FE is a $50k paint, stripe, and badging package?

I believe my dealer is selling a FE wagon at MSRP. They currently have two. A friend of mine was considering one but got cold feet. If interested, hit up Tom M at MB of Scarborough Maine. Excellent, no nonsense dealership, in my experience, that sells lots of AMGs.

Interesting. I assume a sedan and a wagon. Have you shared your discount perspectives with your salesperson? How long have these vehicles sat on the sales floor? I'm not sure if there is that much wiggle room to discount $20,000 unless the factory is subsidizing it via some incentive like conquest $$$. Boy am I happy that I was able to purchase my wagon in 2021 without all of this sales nonsense.

That's understandable, but unlikely that they will be able to achieve that price given the current economic environment and all of the negative comments from enthusiasts about the vehicle configuration.

lol no rear AC in what is supposed to be a luxury muscle car.
My guess is there’s not enough fan boys out there to buy these at the prices they’re asking.
The bigger problem is, would you buy one even if they were $125+- with the missing options? I guess you get the stickers and black calipers, those outweigh the convenience of a HUD and keeping your passengers cool.

Huge miss by MB here. The FE should be totally loaded and have the tune from the AMG GT S model sedan + unique paint / interior.
their approach with the existing FE just makes all of our cars look like better value by comparison.
