Hi All…I have 2021 AMG E63S…it makes a hissing-type air release sounds when I accelerate and the gears shift…is that normal for this car? It’s been there since I purchased the car used with 9k miles and is pretty audible. Appreciate any thoughts!
Thanks…No..not a stock car…got it as a used certified car from Mercedes dealer. I’ve taken it in for service and everything checks out okay but service department doe’s really seem to know what the sound I’m describing is.
I've had two new ones without modifications and can report they both made regularly made this sound upon spirited acceleration. No idea why and found it rather annoying.

I have never heard the BOV in my '19... but I almost never drive with the windows down, and I have the "Sound Insulation" pkg. As a cyclist who rides 4x more than I drive, I'm familiar with the noise as the tuned cars that accelerate and pass me on the narrow CT roads make the noise. I can see how it would be annoying to hear on a regular basis while driving.
