To be fair modern cars are appliances anyways, computers on wheels, the W223 being one, but mostly pure electric vehicles, EQS as another example.
In OP defense, maybe they did legitimately wanted to consider a W213?

As far as I understand the E class has its natural roots in German taxis, i.e. German appliance. The AMG differentiator is the power train, it is like comparing a common blender to a NutriBullet.
Edit: forgot to mention the AMG branding has been diluted into AMG light (sport package) and AMG heavy (peformance powertrain).

Thanks everyone for the very useful and informative feedback/advise. I’ve finally settled on a decision and brought the replacement to our old accord home; which is another accord as a 3rd/4th multipurpose house car.
2021 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring - Platinum White Pearl, very low miles. To seal the deal, asked the dealer to switch wheels on this hybrid touring from another Sport edition accord and he agreed.
50 MPG average on a short highway and few city-miles trip on the way back home felt unreal. Thx again everyone.

I have to be honest, this made me laugh, I get why he's saying this. But based on the entire thread it kinda makes sense that he went w/ a new Accord.
