Looking to purchase
Test drive this car this week and loved. I had really been thinking I’d get an M5 but this popped up right near my house and I took it for a test drive and really enjoyed the s63 way more than I thought.
Seems a little high priced. If anyone has seen a great car out there let me know. Trying to stay under 85.

E63s?
Budget for extended warranty with/or RMS failure and repair.
Also get the full multi beam headlights unlocked.
Did the previous owner purposely run into every pothole they saw (or didn’t see)?

Nice vehicle, loved the exterior and interior colors. I think you enjoy the Mbenz ownership much better than the BMW M5, especially if you have had Mbenz before. The only advantage of the BMW M5 is the infotainment screens (but if you are a carplay/android auto, you won’t miss the BMW system). The E63 u shared appears to be overpriced now based on it’s original MSRP and current age/mileage.

I, too was looking for an M5 or M550 when I came across an E63s at the BMW dealer of all places and bought it. It’s a 2019 with 34k miles. Paid $76k in January 2023. The car you’re looking at seems to have a good service history but it’s overpriced and as someone else pointed out what’s up with the rims/tires? Make sure someone inspects that suspension before you commit. No car needs that many tires and rim repairs over 22k miles
I have no regrets about getting the Benz although I wish I knew about the potential RMS issue before I purchased. That’s in the back of my mind now every time I leave the garage and check the floor

2024 AMG EQE SUV , 2021 E63S Wagon - gone, 2018 E63S Sedan - gone
The price of this clean car that you will keep for a long time does not seem unreasonable. The roads in PA are not in best of shape and can be filled with potholes after a winter. However, the frequency of tire and wheel repairs seems to be excessive to say the least. I would get a full inspection of the front suspension parts and check that the alignment is in spec front and rear. There is no adjustment for the camber and if it is out of spec it would indicate damaged parts. The forged wheels are quite strong so to damage them takes a solid hit IMO.

I’ll have to Google the Mulit Beam Headlight, not aware of that one.
When I had 20” on my Audi S6 I popped 2 tires and bent a rim, but the number of wheel repairs on this does seem excessive.
It’s CPO so it has about 3 more years of warranty and then I might look at a Fidelity, which is very popular on Rennlist not sure if it’s as good for AMG cars.

In general I am not an all black car guy, but that one in Catonsville is beautiful! I hadn’t seen the first one, thanks for sharing!

Personally, that spec is missing all of the best options and seriously lacking. I'd be looking for Burmester 3D, Performance Seats (these are the source of some debate), CF Interior, Night Package, CF Exterior, CCB's.

yeah, thanks, I’ve noticed a bunch of those as some people’s “must haves” and this car is missing quite a few of them. The M5 has a pretty short option list, I feel like with all of the different available options on the E63 it’s hard to compare apples to apples.
I just kind of test drove this on a whim and wasn’t expecting to love the platform this much. Way more visceral than the M5, for me, putting it into Sport + was way more fun than the M5 Sport +.
Now I have to do some homework and find a good deal on a well optioned one.
I also have to say I am completely in love with the 20” AMG Twin 5 Spoke wheels - they are gorgeous in person and really make the car stand out.
I’m also looking to trade-in, so preferably the car would be between Boston and DC, but I can ship and just sell to Carmax for the perfect car.

Hard to justify that price
when there are cars like this one in Boston that has an original sticker of $137k and seems to have everything but the 3D Burmester sound going for $88k.

Just flipped thru the photos of the catonsville one, is that a tear in driver's seat or just weird lighting?

At first glance I thought it was the light but you are right it’s a big tear. That’s a no from me more because it tells me how the last guy took care of the car more than the actual tear which wouldn’t be that hard to fix.

That E63AMG in Boston would be a buy! @reedsutton we are a Fidelity provider on both forums and would be happy to provide you with such informant. Fidelity works just as well with the Mercedes dealerships and independents as the Porsche guys, you can reach me directly at tgibson@highline-autos.com or (855) 924-1333 for pricing and example contract when you find your ideal E63.
