Is it worth it????
Is it a $160,000 car???
will it hold value???
Hoping to see what you guys thoughts are and if anyone has a highly speced e63s and willing to sell at a lower price lmk.
Thank you

in shorter term, wagon should hold its value for a few yrs, imo. After that, the novelty of owning a v8 may wear off.

However,
If it’s a car you really want and you will keep it 5+ years what’s a couple grand a year?
If you are going to be in an out of it fast again it’s not worth it.
These cars depreciate like rocks. You will never get your money back.
This W213 Generation will be its last of its V8 AMG so they won't be making anymore.
Its odd that you are the 4th person I know that used to own a W213 E63s and had bought a different car (M5, RS6, and RS7) had sold their car after a year and went back to a W213 E63s.
Don't get me wrong, it's a hell of a car, but due to where it lies on the spectrum compared to cars like it, it will depreciate terribly soon enough after the new one comes out.
MB owners in general don't really care what's under the hood, most just want the top of the line of whatever model of choice they prefer. Unlike BMW owners for example, have a higher population of enthusiasts who will pay more for a 'lesser" model for performance sake. So a 6 cylinder that makes more power and costs over $120k new will always win out over the V8 in just a few years.
Remember that glorious 6.2l V8 powerhouse from MB? See the crappy resale value it holds now? compare it to the same chassis (w212) that housed the 5.5 biturbo for instance. You would think enthusiasts would make the NA engine more valuable, but nope, the biturbo is.

That's similar to what I had in the 2018, everything except for CCB. Just a tough decision

Couldn't smile in the Porsche even tho it was higher MSRP. No enjoyment, great handling but that's about it.
After experiencing the e63s, going to a different car with less horse, exhaust noise, and the thrill from off the line. I think the Porsche is great, it's reliable, great handling etc but just something was missing.
I'm holding out hope for the w214, hope that whatever powertrain they put in there will be pretty damn impressive at the end of the day. So with that hope, and no ability to custom build a facelifted wagon at this point, I see no reason to eat an ADM.

Think Tesla Plaid. What speed is to the Tesla, handling is to the panamera GTS for vehicles that size and weight (not in raw numbers, just the feeling).
This is why I've always loved and continue to love the panamera, but from afar. Even the new turbo S is still not AMG fast or have any of the drama that makes it feel fast (if you can't make it fake it is not a Porsche thing).
Almost did a Panamera after my M5 but went with a 2021 facelifted E63s instead and was much happier. Hard to argue with 10.5@134mph (best of 10.3@136mph under extremely ideal conditions) with 4 mods (only two hardware changes, easily reversible).
And that sound!!!
Then again I paid sticker, no adm so that was worth it.
