There is a beautiful E63 in Sacramento, Ca that we tried to make a deal. Trouble was the dealer would not sell it out of state.

It was rough looking for one for sure. Dealers charging ADM, putting people up against each other in bids etc. What color/spec did you get?

It's just their way of saying model year 2023. It was probably originally coded for 2022 but they didn't produce any 2022's because they ran into shortages in the supply chain. I have the same code on my 2023 E63s Sedan.

I'm picking up my car this Friday and I have a 300 mile drive back home. Could someone verify for me the breakin procedure? What i'm seeing online is 1k miles under 4.5k rpm's, keep it under 85mph in comfort mode and try to vary the speed and no kick downs. What does kick down's mean? Like stomp on it and have it go from top gear down to a low gear?
I have a 300 mile drive ahead of me on the freeway and I know it's not ideal for break in. Any suggestions on how to vary speeds with speed limit of 80 across the whole drive? Maybe throw it in manual and shift through the gears?
All my other previous vehicles I drove them like I stole them from mile 1 but I kind of want to follow the break in a little differently on this one

You got it. Kickdown means pedal to the metal enough to hit the kickdown switch, yep. You got it. 1k miles (1500km for us Canucks), 4500 rpm or under. But also remember to vary your load, just don't crank it past 4500 if possible. Once you hit 1k miles, slowly add more to it over time. Yeah they also say keep it in C mode. You got it! Manual's fine too, but also let the auto do its thing to adapt too.
