Quick button to raise car

Hi Gents

From what I understand the pre LCI cars used to have a raise, lower button on the dash. This gotta be super convenient. My LCI model has this same function buried in the settings menu. Is there a quick way to access this or program a button to do this quickly?

Thanks

If you figure that out I’d love a button to activate the massage without flipping through favourite and still needing to hit massage and the type and then “play”….

Maybe we can program a gang sign to flash the helper thing that stole my sunglasses holder?

Use the voice command, driver seat massage on, etc.

I do and it interrupts my tunes, or the news, or the conversation I’m having with a passenger, or my phone call… I used to just reach down and *poof* massage.

Then I have to wait while Mercedes reiterates everything back to me.

You can set these buttons quickly accessible on the quick settings screen. I almost never use the voice commands.

Also what’s this r button next to heating and cooling. Older e63s have it and my LCI does not

Interesting that it was removed on the FL E63S, but the AMG EQE SUV has it for 2024.

Is that the star icon favourites area or a different spot?

Hard buttons are far superior to using voice or some buried area in a menu. Unfortunately car manufacturers insist on going software based and I personally feel it is a step back. I have a 2018 and when lowered the quick raise button gets used a lot. It's almost automatic with muscle memory.

I also wish we had the raise button back. I know you mean facelift, but what does LCI stand for?

It's a term all the BMW guys use and I guess I just got used to it. LCI is Life Cycle Impulse, a fancy way of essentially saying it's half-way through the life cycle and got an update.

Yeah I don't get why they removed the passenger button. I liked being able to set my wife's heat seat without reaching across the cabin. Lifting the car is now an extra step and eyes off the road situation. Click the vehicle button to access quick access, then find and click the desired button (lift).

Pre facelift buttons. Very useful and fast. The downside? You get blank switches if your car isn't fully equipped. HUD and rear sunshade were the common blanks that I've seen.

How difficult is that to replace? Is there a plug back there for cars that don't have it?

If you have a party number handy I'd love to look more into it

Thanks!

I found a few on ebay. I think the trim piece part number is separate from the button control unit. Even if you changed it, I don't know how you would program the buttons or tell the car to communicate with the module, especially in a facelift model.

Here is the link to the listing: w213 carbon fiber trim piece

I keep hearing about more and more stuff that I dislike about the facelift cars. Sucks, because this is another one. I often wondered how those items were controlled that had simple buttons right on the dash on the 18-20 cars such as rear window shade, heads up display, and raise/lower.

FYI, the LCI/facelift non-AMG W213 has a suspension lift button on the console (at least the AT wagon does). If you’re serious about a hack, this might be an easier one…

why don’t they get rid of the auto start stop button and not even have that stupid thing. Give us buttons that matter

I strongly, strongly agree with this. Start/stop should be in the menus, able to be disabled on restart. The other physical buttons should be returned. Replace that stupid button with something useful.

What they've done is make driving these cars more dangerous, because you have to take your eyes off the road to flip through a menu to raise or lower your car when you want to exit/enter a slope, etc. It's very counterproductive.
