Need a little guidance here. Has anyone seen this happen? It starte as a every now and then thing (maybe every third drive) but especially after a long trip. Now it's contstant. I'm our from under warranty. But i'd really like to know/understand how to fix this. I think i can get a new diplay unit and have it coded in. How, hard would it be to code yourself? It's affecting the instrument cluster and the HUD screen. Thoughts/guidance?
Ok so i've troubleshot this down to the display module video chip overheating. I can tell that the thermal compound is missing and overheated. I have a replacement (virginized) module on the way, but i think i'll still need to program it in. Can somone reccomend somone that can do an online SCN / programming for me?
