E63s consumption

Hey guys, I just upgraded from a c43 to e63s w213 2018. I must ask this question since its confusing to me.
the moment i start up my car the avg fuel economy shows up as 30l/100km. Unless i drive 15 km + before it drops to 15-25

even after road trips it went all the way down to 12l/100 km . But after leaving it overnight in the morning when i started up the car shows 30l-100km. Any recommendations? Or is it something i must worry about?

go fast grocery getter wagon
It’s normal that starts at like 30l/100km (cold start).

even my Porsche Cayenne does the exact same thing. So, there is nothing to be concerned about.

I've driven 100 miles and ended with my range showing higher than when it started. The values are approximate and vary quite a bit as you change your driving. IE You start and it is low as the engine warms, you then drive a while on the freeway at cruise (60mph?) then pull off the freeway and drive hard for a while in sport+.

This is a math problem, not a car problem. While you are stationary, you basically have infinite average consumption because you are burning fuel, but the car is not moving, so amount of fuel burned divided by distance travelled results in a division by zero, since you haven't travelled any distance yet. Some cars display this as -- l/100km, because the value can't be computed until the car has travelled some distance, other cars display it as an estimated default consumption such as 30 l/100km. Your average consumption will only be meaningful after you've travelled a good distance.

BTW, the trip computer keeps track of two average consumptions. There's the one for the current trip, which resets after the car has been parked for a few hours and there's the lifetime average consumption. The latter shows your average over the distance driven so far and can be reset manually, but if it's never reset then it accumulates the average over the lifetime of the car. In your case you are looking at the average for the current trip. So that one will start over every morning.

You can also see both of these in the app. Below is mine from my C63. The lifetime consumption got reset a while back when they did a software update, so it's only for the last ~6000 miles.
