Started leaking at about 70k miles. Cool let's get a new seal. Not so fast, they are DISCONTINUED. Shop looked for the part for few weeks - nothing available!
Guess Im not the only with this problem . Part number in question is A1770104805. Would be super thankful for any leads.

 

Is that the newest/latest part number? Was it ever updated like the oil separators were?

 

I found a euro supplier that has them. 183 euro.

Good point. MB parts dept gave me no info.

 

They won't ship to US. Trying to send it to my fam in Germany and then forward to me. PITA

The part number you were looking for is the original part number, it has since been updated. Old design pics also in that thread.

Mine was replaced with 177-010-37-08.

The updated oil separators are 177-010-87-12 and -88-12. If these aren't replaced the new RMS will blow again soon.
