Hey everyone, I just finished installing a stealth hitch with tower package on my 21 e63 today and it went smoothly. I have been wondering though, has anyone here installed a 7 pin connector? The stealth only comes with a 4 pin.

If your Stealth hitch came with a 4-pin connector, the hitch is probably rated for 3500 lbs. A 7-pin connector has additional connections necessary for heavier trailers (brakes) and auxiliary functions (reverse lights and 12 volts) that are usually not present on trailers less than 3500 lbs GVWR. Why do you want a 7-pin connector?

 

I've got bite the bullet and put a stealth hitch on my wagon soon. The kids want to go ride their bikes on some trails. I am currently displaced in a rental while we renovate the house, and so I don't have my garage or tools. While OP waits for their answer, do any stealth hitch owners have any recommendations on where to take your car to get this done correctly, the first time?
