e63 purchase opinions

I'm looking for a 2021 E63 with burmester option, preferably CPO. There's one listed that sales confirmed to me was an "AMG Academy car", where they track and drift I assume. Carfax notes that it had an axle replacement. Although it's CPO I'm not sure if I should avoid this one.

You think it was not maintained? I bet it was if it was an an "official" center....or what ever.

What kinds of $ are we talking about (for this abused car) ?

i would not touch it even if it’s labeled cpo. My 2 cents.

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ECU dyno tune; EDOK TCU tune; BB intakes; sprintbooster
I would rely on a good PPI, and consider the car if it meets your needs/requirements

not sure how the AMG is broken in at the academy or if at all - I would make sure the cylinders are scoped in the PPI

AMG's need to be driven and hard

would just make sure it isn't tuned (ecu, tcu, cpc) and that they put this in writing before you sign anything

I bought a Jaguar XFR years ago that was a demo car at their Jaguar Experience. I loved the tan interior so I went for it. It was a lease and included all maintenance, even brake pads and rotors, which needed replacing shortly before the end of my lease. I kept it for the duration of the 3 year lease with no problems. I had been to the driving experience prior to buying the car so I knew how they were driven, but I took a chance. It worked out great in my case, but I can't say I would advise anybody else to take that chance. 550 horsepower rear wheel drive and not nearly as sophisticated as contemporary AMG tech.
