Why no 10.5” front wheels?

So then I used willtheyfit.com to start with the outside edge of the commonly known good 10” ET 10-12 front setup (117mm poke), and made the poke/outside edge of a 10.5 to be the same 117mm. That required a 10.5” ET of 16.
So I used spacers to get ET 16 with the 10.5” test wheel and everything fits even better. There’s now another cm room inside.
So why is everyone running a 10” wheel up front?
10.5” ET16
10.5” ET16
10.5” ET16

In my case I wasn't too concerned about pushing the max. Well, that, and not having a shop that was willing to try this, try that. I read here that +15 mm front & +12mm rear on stock sizes would fit so I went with that.
