I was in a hit and run accident and when I got the car back from the shop there was this terrible rattle in the center dash area. Not the typical intermittent interior rattle like I've seen on here. I'm taking it back next week but would like your guys insight if you can tell what it is. I went over some road turtles in this video to demonstrate. Thanks

 

Is it something that is affecting the hvac blower?

does turning off the hvac silence things?

what got damaged and then repaired in the accident?

 

I will try to turn off the blower. Damage was to right fender and bumper. It's only over bumps

 

how long did you have the car before it was in the body shop being repaired; my point is that did you hear the rattle after the accident but before the body shop?

 

It was towed from the side of the road

 

the impact may have jarred something then

 

Sounds like something is broken inside the dash

 

definitely try to a/b test whatever you can to see what makes it change/worse

to me it sounds like one of those plastic push clips is not set, similar to what i had in my rear headliner. recommendation is to have a passenger poke there head in there and really identify where it's specifically coming from. chasing rattles is really tough sometimes

 

Some weeks later after 300 billable hours a dime is found somehow in the air systems of the climate control.....

 

That would be a complete nightmare.
