Anyone have a carbon fiber hood on their W/S213? I'm looking at ArmorExtend (link below) but curious about quality/fitment. So far I have been UNDERWHELMED by the CF stuff I have purchased at VERY high prices - poor fit, poor quality, poor everyhting really, inlcuding me....., and Armor Extend actually seems low priced comparitively, so even more suspect?....any current owners?
Any other companies make a double sided CF hood?

How funny, I was looking at this same CF hood just today.
I absolutely love the look, but feel like it would look horrible on a white car. Only way to go would be having it painted, and painting CF can turn out real bad if the shop doesn't do EVERYTHING RIGHT.
Now on your red wagon, you might be able to pull it off leaving it CF. 🤔

I had a whole plan for the vehicle look. Red with gloss back plastic and trim, but then leave the chrome waist line details. Then at the bottom, lip, side skirts, rear side skirts all CF, and dark grey wheels. The wheels have really delayed me.... But I'm currently working on a new set, custom made, to my specs this time. Different design. Anyway, in my search I came across this hood, and I like it. I don't need it. But I kind of want it.Originally Posted by E63S Hopeful

That said, I've been "burned" by some of these CF outfits out of China. Armaspeed being one of them. They make junk. And it wasn't cheap.
So I'm hesitant.... But yeah, I think it would look good on my color scheme/design.

Another thing that hurts us is the aftermarket for our current model E63 is very limited, and thus no "big name" manufacturer is producing quality CF parts. Basically leaves us with parts from Temu, Alibaba, copart etc... Even companies with good reputations (such as RW Carbon) sometimes source parts from overseas.
Just a fact we have to accept if we want a custom CF hood / Front lip / roof spoiler...
But to your point, the cost seems resonable and its design is quite attractive.
