Time to replace tires - Want to go wider
I want to go with Michelin PSS on the stock 10 spoke wheels.
The stock 255/35/19 are 26" overall height; and they don't make them in the stock 285/30/19, so was looking at the 295/30/19 ( which actually matches the front tire height)
What needs to happen for the car to recognize the change in height of the tires, or will it adversely affect how the car drives since the dimensions are different than factory?
Depending on the answers to the above; I would ideally like to go to a 265 on the front with the 295 on the rear.

If it helps, I went with the 295's on the back and stayed with the oem size up front with MPSS's. Mine is a '12, so RWD, not sure if you could do it with the 4-matics. There is a suspension piece very near the tire at the front, I'm not sure the 265 would actually fit.

Talked to one of the techs at the dealership and said changing the size would cause issues on the 4matic models; so looks like I have to find something besides Michelin

4-matics require same diameter front and back to my understanding. Going staggered should be fine for 255/35-19 Front and 295/30-19 Rear as they are both 26.0" diameter (assuming 295 will fit your rim and wheel well).
