Looks E55 vs CLS55

IMHO the E looks better. It have a more well-rounded look (it looks good at any angle). The only angle that I like on the cls is the side profile. The front and the rear look hedious. Also the E have that classical mercedes look. I do like the cls interior better than the E, the only draw back is it only seats four.

IMO the CLS kills the E in the looks department...especially yours FT. You have what you preach, fast with class. Perfect drop, perfect wheels. Now that you are adding the power mods as well, it can't be beat.

Thanks griza big things are coming ;-). this question has been asked on many automotive message boards and most agree the cls is one of the most attractive sedans of all time and I agree. If it were not for the cls55 I would never own a benz.

CLS... I love the fact that it's a mix of a coupe and a sedan all in 1 car. I love the frameless door, the sleek and low profile, and the bodyline looks so sharp that I'm afraid it can cut someone lol.
CLS def set the standard for a 4 door coupe that everyone is trying to copy now (ie. cc, panamara).
I love the fact that I only have 4 seats, because even if I had an E-Class, I wouldn't want 3 people sitting in the back, although you know there would be a time that you'd be forced to put the extra 3rd person in the back, but in this car, no excuses... my car is a 4 seater.
FT, you made the 3rd vote option for me? Awww how thoughtful, now answer my question, why do you have Cor centercaps?

They are nearly identical mechanically and electronically. Comes down to the looks...E has the classic look but the CLS is the head turner..no competition in my opinion.
Oh yeah, you will get majority CLS favoring posts in this forum..you should put the same poll in E55 and compare the numbers lol.

360 forged wheels are manufactured by Cor forged. When 360 forged was having financial issues(when i purchased mine) Cor was taking 360 orders directly thus why my set has Cor center caps.

FT, what tires are you running? Any rubbing being so low? I know you have proper offsets to accommodate, which I am not sure what those are, but 305's are wide. I would do the same setup if/when I ever get one.

You did your homework...nothing worse than rubbing on too wide tires. Your ride is perfect, I always admire your sig picture. Can't wait to see what you have in store.

They're both great looking cars. The E class is one of the best looking MB's ever ... but the CLS is ground breaking for MB and looks so much more exotic, which is why I personally chose the CLS55.
Either way ... you can't go wrong.

CLS55 & CL CK60
i had a e55 for 3 years and it was great. definitely impressive - until i got the cls55. now i get people walking up to me nearly every time i park and every valet in my town knows me by my car. i must agree the CLS is a lot more of an eye ctacher but i miss my e55 for some reason. i loved that car...
to be fair my CLS has some badass rims with sexy lips that tuck in the fenders so that might have something to do with the attention she gets
