Testing you for what??? I am completely against replica watches. I posted a link to a site which had comments about the so called quality of replica watches (that it is a myth). You commented that the site seemed to be selling replica watches and that it was a site to rip people off. You either did not read the info I posted, or you struggle with the English language. You then posted a link saying that the info was wrong. The info was how to tell if a replica watch had swiss movement. You said that you had a swiss movement watch which did not hack, proving that this was wrong. So I was supposed to know that you were talking about a genuine watch to disprove a comment about a replica??

In reviewing your posts just in this thread, it is clear that you have difficulty in participating in calm conversations. You then take to personally attacking me. So who is the troll here?

I will warn you again, keep up this attitude and your posting privileges will be suspended.

Right. I'll stick to my watch forums for watches. I'll stick to my car forums for cars.

ugh.

I did just re-read and saw that it was another supermod that bought the fakes.

I am not a watch guy, and personally don't really care what people spend their money on. I don't particularly like replica watches (I think the money would be better spent on a different, "real" watch). I'm not about to pretend that I know what a swiss movement is versus a Japanese one. That's why I couldn't understand why you would claim something about a replica was wrong because yours did not do that, if you did not have a replica. I wasn't trying to lure you into some pissing match, although I was a bit put off that you claimed the site I linked looked like it would rip people off. I thought the site was pretty straight forward, and perhaps even anti-replica in some cases. I don't know the site, I just found it while I was looking up info, so I will also not claim that everything on that site is true.

Hope this clears things up from my end.

It's hard to see what people are meaning to say on the internet. Even w/ Smileys I really did read it as you were trying to lure me into a pissing match.

Let's just put it aside as miscomprehended post.

nismo
I hope the information I posted didn't cause problems here, that wasn't the intent. that was a good link to a site that does a decent job on explaining replicas, fakes, etc. most watch forums do spend time researching the replica market. some members will also buy one to test. we do videos on occasion while taking one apart and compairing it to the real watch. But we don't condone the usage of replicas. heres a recent event that happened at the dealership while getting my car serviced. this is a quote from the article. pretty humorous, but saddly true, no matter which dealer you are at.
went to nissan for a service on the nismo friday. while sitting in the lounge, a salesman approached, with the usual sales talk. he sat down, shook my hand and I caught a glimpse of a seamaster crown. I asked him about his watch. he said it was a james bond limited edition. he was more then happy to hand it over so I could look at his high end watch. well, as you know, I have that very same one, with the cool rifle barreling on the dial. his was black dialed? yep. the rifling was done in chrome quartz movement. busted deployant. it was a 45mm seamaster replica. must have set him back 25 bucks. he asked about my watch. I had on the tag heuer super 1000m. so I hand back his watch, not saying a word about it. didn't see the point at that time. the conversation goes to past careers, and I tell him about my time as a pj. he said he was also airforce and asked what a pj was. I told him it was a night duty security specialist in pajamas. total dead pan at this point. went right over his head. he asked me how I could afford the nismo as they were pretty rare. I responded with," well, I collect watches. now his face contorts a bit. then I give him my card with my watch forum on it. Busted! the look on his face was priceless. he got up and said he had customers to attend to. yah, right. so that was my day. pretty fun.
