You just mentioned the top 2 rated all-season tires. They both received great reviews.

I did my research and finally settled with the Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S.

Mis3, How do you like the Pirelli's and are they quiet? Which MB model do you drive and what brand of tire did the Pirelli's replace?

I don't know yet, I am getting them in 1-2 weeks, together with new 17-inch AMG wheels. According to my research, these tires are the most quiet in the performance all-season category.

I picked up my 2004 CLK320 on Dec, 2003. I was using the OE tires, Continental ContiTouringContact CH95 until Oct, 2004. Then I changed into Pirelli 210 winter tires on OE 16-inch wheels. The OE Conti were no good at all, uneven wear, lower grip than expected.

In case you are wondering, even I have dedicated winter tires, I opted for all-season for summer use because I prefer the better ride comfort, low noise level and good tread wear. These Pirelli all-season are supposed to have decent performance as well.

Just ordered a set of Pilot A/S for my E500. Should be on in about a week. I'll let you know how they are. Replaced original equipment Contis.

Congrats you will not be dissapointed one bit. I use them on my E55, TL, and soon the E350. Mercedes doesnt want its owners to put the A/S on the car due to alignment issues, but I never had any issues with the tire. I even had them on my E320 and my service advisor was shocked that the car did not experience any alignment issues. Anyways I am sure you will enjoy them.

I just put on the Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S and after 500 KM, so far so good. With my driving style, they are great.

I am not sure if it's true that MB does not recommand 4-season tires because most of them come with 4-season.

In fact, I bought these tires with AMG wheels from my MB dealership with surprisingly good price.

Luke: What does MB have against the Pilot Sport A/S? Anything I need to be concerned about...like warranty problems?

Had the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S mounted on Friday. So far I like the tire a lot. Might be slightly more noisey than the Contis but not objectionably so. E500 handles like a dream, especially in Sport 2. Lots of twisties on my way to work each day and these will get a workout.
