I am shopping for my R129 SL600 and I am torn between 2 wheel choices, the spacer size recommended for each will pretty much determine my choice.

Option 1:
18x8 37 offset (would 235/40's be better or would 245/40's be just fine?
18x9 37 offset ( --"-- 265/35 --"- --"--- -"- --"-- 275/40 --"- --"- --"-

Option 2:
18x8.5 35 offset (would 235/40's be better or would 245/40's be just fine?
18x9.5 35 offset ( --"-- 265/35 --"- --"--- -"- --"-- 275/40 --"- --"- --"-


If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Would a 10mm spacer all the way around be suitable for either option? If not, what would be the recommended size spacer?

you're going to need about 5mm in either set
