Rear tires wear out 2x than front tires
I have BFGoodrich Scorcher T/A 235x35x19 all around.
I recently had to change the rear tires because they were totally wore out. But the front tires still have more than 50% treads left. (I thought rotate tires is included in Service B )
I had my car lowered, changed wheels w/ new tires, and did the alignment at the dealer all at the same time. I remember dealer charged me for some camber thing.. (sorry I don't know much about camber..)
Is this normal? If not, what could be the cause of it?
Thanks in advance.

Where are the tires wearing out? If they're wearing out evenly then you just have a heavy right foot. If only the inside edge is wearing out, then you're running too much negative camber. An adjustable TRAK-LINK set will let you completely adjust the rear if that's what your problem is.

My rears are wearing at least twice as fast as the front. They wear evenly, as do the front, just lots faster. My MB advisor states that is normal for the model.
It seems that an ample amount of horsepower, plus the ability to throttle-steer in corners is a contributing factor in this wear condition. Also, the W rated tires is another factor.
The tires are giving their all for the fun factor.

I just looked at the tires from the rear, the rear tires are negative camber (top potion leans toward the center of the car). I think the dealer adjust them when I did alignment there. Does negative camber only cause un-even wear between the inside and outside edge, or does it also cause the tires to wear out a lot faster than usual?

Carlsson....
The dealer can not adjust the rear camber. It is fixed. But It does change as you lower the car or raise it. The speedybnz camber arms can fix this problem as it has on some 100 or so MercedesCars over the last couple of years.
