Question Suspension Upgrade on a 2001 CLK320 - Questions

Here are my basic assumptions:

1. Car will be daily driver.
2. Looking for moderate improvement in handling (i.e. I am not looking to loose my teeth fillings while I drive!).
3. I don't like the amount of body roll the car has in long sweeping turns. I would characterize my driving style as moderately aggressive.
4. Keep lowering to the minimum.
5. Budget for the upgrade is $1100 including install.
6. Will probably upgrade to 17inch rims in the future.

There appears to be two ways to go.

1. Eibach springs (these will lower the car 1.2" according to the data I have been able to get) + Koni sport shocks.

2. Eibach anti-sway kit (If there are others at a similar price that you know about please comment) + Koni sport shocks.

Two basic questions:

1. Any feedback in comparing the ride quality and performance of these combos is appreciated.

2. With option 1, can I use a thicker pad to keep the lowering to a minimum?

3. Can you tell me the thickness of the stock pads on my car (front and rear) and what I could replace them with? Just a list of pad thicknesses available would be a great help.

Thanks

Martin
