need help with e430

Hey guys I have a 1999 e430 when i bought it I was told it was a sport version wich turns out not to be true whoever had the car b4 put amg spoiler and 17" sport wheels on now my question is would it be ok to go back to he 16" because I am not really please with how stiff the 17" are I am more of a smooth ride guy.I would like a recomendation on tire size if I decide to go with 16"
one more thing maybe i can go with 225/45/17 and 245/40/17 on the 17" that I have now .
thanks guys sorry for the long post

If you would like to go with 16", then 215/55/16.
The tire sizes on your 17" sound like for C class. The recommanded 17" for our W210 is 235/45/17 all around, or 235/45/17 in the front and 255/40/17 or 265/40/17 in the rear.
If I am not wrong, sport pachage is only come with AMG body kit and 17" wheels.
