Refinished Wheels
Hi all
I had some hairline scratches on the wheel when I purchased it. Dealer had them refinished. Wheels came out pretty good but I think the refinished surface looks worse done the original and holds more break dust.
I was wondering if there is any way to clean the refinishing off? It has already cracked (paint) alot of places while using pressure washer. Do you guys have any idea? Thank you very much.

So these are OEM wheels, they had a bit of scratch on them nothing big. They told me they would get them fixed. When I pick up the car wheels looked great but after couple washes paint (refinish) on the wheels started chipping off.
I really want the whole thing off the wheels I dont think they did a good job.

OEM wheels with the silver finish is actually painted IIRC.
You can get the wheel repaired and repainted. It will look as original. However, if you're really worried, you can order a replacement wheel from tirerack. Repairing a wheel locally in LA is about $50-100. OEM wheel is probably in the $400 range.
