How are cross-drilled rotors supposed to feel?

How are cross-drilled rotors supposed to feel?
I have a pair of Performance Products rotors with Porterfield pads. On light braking, they are fine, but with even moderate pressure, they feel and sound like they are rumbling noticeably. Is this normal? It is almost as if the rotors had small bumps instead of holes (they don't, but that's how it feels)

I have Zimmerman cross-drilled rotors ( front ).
They don't feel any different than the stock rotors.
Did you install yours yourself?
If so, did you clean the hub ( before installing the rotors ) 100 % squeaky clean ?
May want to check the run-out ( wobble ) of the rotor.

IF I may ask, where did you get the Zimmerman rotors?
I have been looking around for crossed drilled rotors and no one has the zimmermans in stock. Also what did you pay for them? Thanks. AA..
