I was wondering what the implications of using 225/45/17 tires on 17x8 rims for my 500E. I just got the rims and have a possible source for some Pilots in that size. I am currently running 225 wide tires on my 16 inch rims and I have been told that 245/45/17 is the correct 17 inch tire size. Any input on what the 225/45's would do to my ride/speedo. Thanks in advance.

225/45-17 will not have the proper load capacity and that can cause serious problems .... and the speedo will not be correct
