For Luke - wheel fitment question 2004 W211
Hi Luke,
You've been great with answering many of my questions. Got one more for ya.
I just recieved my new 19" staggered fitment wheels. I purchased them from a company off of eBay that advertised them as fitting Audi/Mercedes
Here's my question:
I went to get them installed today and the installer showed me that the hub is too big for the hole on the wheel. Is there an adaptor or spacer that I can get to make these wheels fit? And if there is, is it even worth doing that? Do adaptors and spacers increase the probability that there will be vibrations and wobbles felt inside the cabin?
The wheels are Speedy Envy - 19X8.5 and 19X9.5 5-112 bolt pattern with a 38 offset.
The seller has already agreed the purchase them back. Maybe I'll do that and get a set of Mandrus Milleniums. I think those are hub centric made exclusively for Mercedes-Benz.
Thanks Luke, I really appreciate your help.

depends on the weather
Mercedes vehicles utilize a 66.56mm center hub
Audi vehicles use a 57.00mm center hub
there is no way to make a wheel with a 57.01mm center bore fit a Mercedes other than taking the wheels to a machine shop and having them bored/drilled to the correct size
if you choose to go that route have the wheels bored to 57.01mm ....
with that said I would return the wheels and get some that fit correctly

Yep,
That's what I thought. Just wasn't sure if there was some type of adaptor that I could use. But after posting this, I thought long and hard about it, and I don't want to rig it up. I've already put them on a truck back to the sender.
Thanks for the input!!

Beware of ebay vendors when dealing with vehicles of this caliber. In most cases they are just selling anything to anyone, thus you receiving wheels with a hub bore that was almost 10mm too small!!!
Good luck with resolving the issue!
