C240T Question

I Have a 1998 C240T. I also have a set on 16" W210 E class wheels.

Will the 16" 7.5 wide E class rims fit on the C Class?

The car currently has the standard 15" alloys with 195/65/15 Tyres.

I am unsure what size tyres to use on the 16" rims and if the tyres are not wider than the rims the rims could easily be scraped on gutters when parking as the spokes on the 16" wheels bulge out further than the rims.

S202 vs W210

Your S202 chassis C-Class wagon and the W210 chassis E-Class share similar offsets, centerbore, and lug bolt type (12x1.5). The 7.5x16 W210 wheels should fit fine on your C240T. Run 205/55R16 tires.

Locally, Gary at Carshine in Melbourne should be able to help you out.

Thanks Ken

The local tyre dealer recommended 215/55/16 O/D 642mm compared to 632mm for the 205's. The 195/65/15 O/D is 637mm.
